Your surgery will be performed with local anesthesia plus intravenous sedation. The level of sedation
required depends on the procedure. Most of the time when sedation is used we call it "twilight sleep"
because you really are in and out of a deep sleep. There are some cases where general anesthesia
is used instead. We will discuss that with you if it is recommended for your surgery.
There are no circumstances in which we expect you to "feel surgery" or to be aware of it. We want
you to feel fully relaxed, so will discuss with you our recommendations for the safest and most
pleasant method suitable for your individual needs.
Our Anesthesiologists are all Board Certified or Board Eligible, American trained, and specialists in cosmetic surgery.
They use innovative methods which allow for safe, comfortable surgery with a rapid post surgery
recovery period - with few chances of post-operative nausea. Your anesthesiologist will discuss
these matters in greater detail with you the day before surgery and again the morning of your procedure.
